Founded in 2009, the Center for Progressive Legal Defense is dedicated to working for those who need help with a legal problem and striving to utilize the legal system to provide a solution. The CPLD has a particular focus on improving the lives of animals and thus provides legal counsel in a variety of capacities to rescue organizations, animal rights activists, and anyone who works on behalf of animals. This practice includes Foster and Adoption Contracts, Estate Planning including Pet Trusts, and Criminal Defense for those exercising their First Amendment rights. The CPLD also provides general Criminal Defense at the trial and appellate levels and will take cases as time allows.
